SENZA TITOLO/ UNTITLED

Moments happen in life that can not be described or disclosed to anyone. They are deep transformations of which we can not even predict the result. The same destiny that makes you meet your loved one, decided one day to separate you ... you can not discuss or negotiate. It 'just so.

VINTAGE /VENDEMMIA

Danilo's Grape- RitaVaselliWatercolor on Bockingford CP-16"x 12")

First brushstrokes and washes ( it is difficult to see in my photo, but  I used many washes of colors for tone white paper)

This year we have never gone for a walk in the hills.
I look at these hills from my window but to see the grape, I can only use my memories.
Seeing photos of 6 September 2014, I found my grape  to paint, a pic that  Danilo took.

building my grape and leaves

This grape  was on the road, at every hand ...  sun matured grapes, they seem covered with a layer of honey, they are so multicolored, so reminded me of grapes "oddity", those grafts were the delight of gardeners of 1700.
Bockingford paper, brushes hake, this is a great help to achieve with successive brushstrokes and washes almost always dry on wet, the whole composition.
I took five days for painting this... only a quarter of an hour every day and  I left work  drying  as never I did .... .
At easel, Danilo pic,  my  start point inspiration and my painting almost finished

Wednesday I had not even fifteen minutes, I made only a photocopy ... but , Friday, with water used to dilute the golden ocher, I caressed all the work,  blending together in a golden light .
My tendency all'overworking heals due to lack of time.
If I can take time for  painting in my studio, or take photos of my work, these moments  can  reassure me, as often they do, habitual gestures.

PADT Sweet moments/ Dolci momenti

Dolci momenti/ Sweet moments _/Watercolor and  wax pencil
Bockingford cold pressed 140lbs 16"x12"
PAINT AND DRAW TOGETHER CHALLENGE 55

The flavor of a ripe cherry is really a sweet moment.
This is my interpretation of the challenge of the month PADT, watercolor and pencil waxy,
paper Bockingford ,16"x12",140 lbs (very reactive to the watercolor technique, a beautiful white velvet texture.

First steps-Primi passi

I started  my work in a traditional way but then I had second thoughts ... the gestural painting on this surface so responsive is a real pleasure.
A final water  wash to  create fusions and  colors  unity, with a large brush hake,  placed ,for me, in a sweet atmosphere, this  cherries composition.

I printed a lighter version of the challenge PADT picture for my painting interpretation

I painted this while I waited ( from afar) for the birth of Léon, my third grandchild
Last Wind Flowers Detail, here totally dry overnight.
Ho appoggiato acqua, colori e pennelli sul pavimento intorno a me.

Blogging for me was to meet people ... some meetings last still, others are over .... who knows what really happens in the lives of others ... To meet people, to have a dialogue that sometimes comes out of the public pages and become private ... it was the most beautiful human side of these pages.
Painting and writing, interest in my own expression as for that of others painters ...
These are my reasons for being in blogland. A place where you are happy if you share the joy and if something is not as we would like, we can halve the weights.
The first part of 2015 I spent a lot of time about extemporaneous painting... at least what seemed a choice to overcome insecurities on large size watercolors , has become a true necessity.
Now is the pressure of real life to need practice based on "impromptu" .... I do not have much time.
During past two months I painted only these anemones.

Last WindFlowers-Rita Vaselli Mixed Media on Fabriano Cardboard 20"x28",
here not totally dry.
I came home a hot afternoon of July, opening the window of the study, gorgeous light sun brought me inspiration.
I stretched out on the ground a white waxed cloth ...
I placed water, paints and brushes on the floor around me.
I found myself on my knees to move my arms, no thought only action ... drip colors, use pastels to draw signs , touches of white casein , china ink and watercolor markers of Winsor&Newton.
Even a small shower in the bathroom ,to soften colors washes.
Gestural painting in the midst of a chaos of objects, always helps me, is language of my body.

LIKE A CHILD/ COME UN BAMBINO

Come continuare a vivere, e  possibilmente a vivere in modo sereno....

Sketching blue...Beatrice asleep with abandon
When things that happen, they seem too heavy to be lived ... how I can go on?
How my life can  go on and possibly how I can live in a serene way ....
Today I took a sheet of soft toned paper , I sketched  Beatrice asleep, with two blue violet pencils.

Beatrice sleeps little, but when she falls into sleep, she seems totally abandoned ...
Children can live moment by moment ... I thought that's what I have to do, these days that have so much difficulty and uncertainty.

Two blue pencil, some brushes and erasers ...Sketch paper before blue pencils seems so different ,
more warm then after sketch

SUMMER BREAK/ PAUSA ESTIVA

When too many things go through life. it is difficult to follow the blog and friendships on Blogland.
There are times that  family needs a constant presence.
The brushes are placed in retirement, thoughts are directed to concrete facts that change from day to day.
Since I write on my blog I never really took a break.
I was lucky to have so much time to paint and to write.
And it was a pleasure to share with so many friends around the world my experiences.
My loving thought for all those with their friendly support their passion for art and their beautiful  comments  have made  more beautiful my daily life

Alice & PicassoTiles
Traslucido, assemblabile perchè magnetico...
Devo chiederlo a babbo Natale anche io, quest'anno!!!

Today's children have the chance to play with wonderful toys.

One of these pieces that I envy a little 'to my granddaughters is one game that is called PicassoTiles.
"Picasso"  is  a toy for  make constructions ... but not the usual construction.

Translucent, can be assembled because it is magnetic ...
I have to ask Santa Claus, this year !!!
