GIORNI D'ESTATE

Alcuni tubi si ribellano all'apertura!

Buona domenica, abbraccio,Rita.

  10. Your way of designing the grapes is very compelling, dear Rita. Lots of power in the vertical format and the position of your grapes is perfect.
I also loved the images of the lotus/waterlily. When we went to India I marveled at the way they would grown in MUD! I enjoyed all the other photos too. Thanks for taking the time do post such an interesting format.

    1. Dear Julie this work will be long but it is an opportunity to learn how to compose a watercolor in large format. These things I can learn only trying to do ... The design seems to be of help to figure out where to change the composition and this morning I will go in the vineyards to see if I can find some more benign leaf ...
and how are the clusters this July 2013.
I imagine the thrill of seeing the lotus out of the mud, but this is the symbol of the Spirit, which rises above the Mud, according to Eastern thought ...
Danilo has prepared me for the assembly of the photos, it's nice to have an assistant so good!

    1. Dear Polly these pictures of grapes have two years ... but today I'm back in the same vineyard where the grapes is now very different ... the heat has arrived now, after so much rain and the grapes are small and colourless ... I still took photos for the leaves to paint more readable and remember better ... I met other flowers in my path and before the morning became the hot African afternoon that is outside ... I'm sheltered within the walls at home.
I collect, continuously, images that when I become more skilled, maybe, I will be able to paint. Even the hope is joy for my passion painting!Have nice Sunday!

  19. I am impressed with the array of colors you have before you--and in particular the ones in the ice trays. Those are such a wonder way to mix just the right value. I have never heard of a colette till now. I, too, have tubes that give me a hard time and send me looking for the plyers. Thanks for the tip. Like all your work, Rita, your new painting will be a huge success. It's a challenge I know, but I know you are up to those and always master them.

  20. Dear Linda these days I'm struggling to find my way to manage the palette with the tonal variations, the compositions (and also reality overlaps imagination, because my reality is always linked to forms which, in the course of work, tend to become a bit abstract).
Those who seem to containers for ice, are plastic boxes that enclose and protect the right color, palettes very cheap, but the color is always available for the drybrush.
For wet techniques , I use fresh color on large china plates.
I hope to come up with something different and personal. You are a painter-warrior, and you can understand me and my winding path, perfectly!
